Fund Raising
About The "Friends" |
| The Friends of Hampshire County Children's Choir, is a registered charity that aims to provide support to the choir and its musical director.
The Friends principal aim is to raise funds for items such as music, travel, accommodation, and refreshments. It's members also provide support at rehearsals, concerts and other events throught out the year. The Friends consist primarily of parents of the Choir's Members, with a committee being elected annually at the AGM. |
The principle aim of the Friends is to raise funds for the choir for items such as Uniforms, Music, Travel, Accommodation, and Refreshments.
Funds to support the choir are raised using a number of different methods, as follows :
1) Voluntary Donations made by Parents each term. This is the main source of income for the charity that supports the choir, it is suggested that parents make a donation of £10 per child per term. Donations should be given to the treasurer either by post or during Friday Rehearsals.
2) The other main source of funds comes from the sale of snacks from the tuck shop, which operates during the break during rehearsals. Items such as crisps, and small snack foods are donated by parents on a regular basis throughout the year. Donations should be given to the Tuck Shop Co-ordinator.
3) Occasional Video/Audio recordings are made of the concerts, copies of which are made available for a small donation to the charity. (Copies are only made available to parents). Please contact the treasurer for further details.
4) Additional donations to the choir are always welcome, as well as donations from parents the charity also occasionally receives donations from local businesses and friends of the choir.
