Mike Saunders, the HCCC pianist, has been accompanying choirs for 25 years. He has worked with Lissa Gray since 1997 both for the Hampshire County Children's Choir and more recently the National Childrens Choir of Great Britian.
His versatility in playing a wide range of styles from classical to jazz or blues has stood him in good stead in tackling the choir’s varied repertoire.
As well as being a busy pianist, Mike also teaches piano and is an occasional composer of hymns/sacred songs for his local church. Mike’s main source of income is as a piano tuner, a profession he has pursued for over twenty years, based from his home in Stockbridge, where he lives with his wife, and their two teenage daughters.
