About The "Friends" |
| The Friends of Hampshire County Children's Choir, is a registered charity that aims to provide support to the choir and its musical director.
The Friends principal aim is to raise funds for items such as music, travel, accommodation, and refreshments. It's members also provide support at rehearsals, concerts and other events throught out the year. The Friends consist primarily of parents of the Choir's Members, with a committee being elected annually at the AGM. |
This Page contains further information for members and parents regarding the wearing of uniforms at concerts. Unfortunately at recent concerts some members have not met the standards expected, Wearing your uniform correctly is important to the overall appearance of the choir and creates a positive image to the audience.
The notes below are provided as a reminder to members/parents of the choir. Full details of the required uniforms can be found on the link under the Friends Pages.
General Notes :
Two weeks before a concert is due, please check that your uniform still fits correctly, if necessary contact the uniforms manager, to organise/order replacement items as needed.
It is recommended that children should bring both summer and winter uniforms to concerts during the winter months. The temperature in different venues varies so there is a need to be prepared!
Before leaving home for concerts make sure you bring your ties (Boys), and hair scrunches(Girls). On a number of occasions children have forgotten these items, there is no guarantee spares will be available on the day.
Notes For Boys:
Shirts should be worn tucked-in at all times and not just just immediately before you go on stage to perform. Remember you are often visible to the public before and after the concert.
Boys must wear black shoes and socks, Training shoes are not permitted.
Notes For Girls:
Skirts should be worn at ankle length, as above please check this is the case at least 2 weeks before the concert.
You must wear black ballet style shoes and black tights.
Long Hair is to be worn tied back with a navy blue scrunchie.
